Introducing Sidy, a 16-year-old sophomore with dreams as bold and vibrant as his hometown of Dakar, Senegal. As the eldest of nine children in a family with two mothers and a father, Sidy’s life is a rich blend of tradition and ambition. Dakar, the bustling capital and largest city of Senegal, sets the scene for Sidy’s early life, characterized by its lively streets and diverse cultures.
Sidy’s culinary preference is Thieboudienne, a delectable Senegalese dish that tantalizes the taste buds with its flavorful combination of stewed broken jasmine rice, vegetables, and marinated fish. Thieboudienne, celebrated as the national dish of Senegal, reflects the country’s rich culinary heritage and Sidy’s connection to his roots.
On the court, Sidy sets his sights high, aspiring to play basketball for prestigious programs like Kentucky, Duke, or UCLA. His passion for the game is paralleled by his academic pursuits in art and math, illustrating a mind that revels in creativity and analytical challenges alike.
